That calendar comes without haste

A little late, as usual, I just wanted to let all my readers and the WP community know how thankful I am for having you. Also, I wanted to send you all my best wishes and I couldn’t think of better ones than the ones you’ll read, so here you go. They come from the lyrics of a song called “Wedding Nights” by Spanish songwriter and folk-rock singer Joaquin Sabina, and its link it’s right below in case you’re interested (it’s a really pretty son).

I’ll leave the link for the song to if you’re in mood for listening to it.

That makeup doesn’t screw up your smile

That your baggage doesn’t cut your wings,

That calendar comes without haste,

That the dictionary halts bullets.

That blinds correct dawn,

That your “I want” beats the war of “I can”,

That those who wait don’t count time,

That those who kill die of fear.

(video: and that they stop killing once fucking in for all)

That the apocalypse catches you in a dance,

And the stage dyes my grey hair,

That you never know how or when,

Nor two in the bush, nor yesterday or today.

That hearts don’t go out of fashion,

That falls toast your skin,

That every night is a wedding night,

That the honeymoon never sets.

That all nights become wedding nights,

That every moon becomes a honeymoon.

That truths don’t bring any complex,

That all lies look like a lie,

That mirrors never agree with you,

That you appreciate what you see.

That helplessness divorces  you,

That every dinner ir your last dinner,

That being brave doesn’t cost as much,

That being a coward is not worth at all.

That you’re not bought for less than nothing,

That you don’t buy love without thorns,

That you’re not put to bed with fairytales,

That the corner bar is not closed on you.

That hearts don’t go out of fashion,

That falls toast your skin,

That every night is a wedding night,

That the honeymoon never sets.

That all nights become wedding nights,

That every moon becomes a honeymoon.
